Please sign in to see more. My grandfather Karol Wolf was an accomplished violynist, spoke at least 7 languages, and edited the ABC Gazetta in Warsaw, as well as contributing to other newspapers in that city. He wrote some music and one book that was never
published in Poland. He was a member of the Austrian Army at the time of his marriage. For reasons unknown to me he was sent to Studthoff Concentration Camp
and perished there in 1944/45. Married to Wanda Kosiba from Bochnia Poland he had three children. Son, Tadeusz and daugnters Danka and Irka. Irka Wolf was a ballet student. Tadeusz was a student Dentist at the time of his conscription to
the German Army. Danka was a teenager and lived with her parents. In 1941 Tadeusz married Helena Geromin of Pultusk, Poland. Tadeusz was conscripted into the German Army during WWII. Taken prisioner by the Allies, he volunteered to join the Polish
Army under British Command. He died of cancer while still in the army in 1946. At the time of his death he was at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, Scottland. He is buried at Perth.Tadeusz and Helena were married in 1941, in Pultusk, Poland. They had two daughters, Rita/Ruth and Wanda. Helena re married and moved to the United States. She and Jan Lewandowski had seven more living children. She lived in Michigan until her death. I wish to add as much information to this site as I can so that my grandchildren know of their history. Most of the people in this family are deceased and I wish to find our roots and record as much as I can, as a legacy to my children and grandchildren.
The Geromin Family. That is the one I know the most about. I remember my grandparents because I had chances to spend time with them after the war. They lived in one room of a farmhouse in Frischenmoor, Germany, until we left for the United States. Grandma Geromin was a seamstress and most of the clothes we are wearing in some of the pictures were made over and over by her. Grandpa Geromin loved to fish and luck for him, there was a small stream that ran through the farm property. I remember Easter and Christmas Holidays spent with them.
Snuggling in a big feather bed after grandma warmed it with hot bricks in a warming iron. I picked gooseberries and red currants to bring home when they were available. I have learned that my grandparents had one other daughter, she died in infancy, supposedly while in Russia. Uncle Eduard Geromin and his wife
Frieda and son Helmut lived upstairs in the farmhouse accross the road. Helmut and I spent time playing `Black Peter` a German form of old maid. My mother, Helen is the only one to move as far as the States. Her oldest sister Hanna lived in what was East Germany then. One brother, George married and lived in Enland. I don`t know how he came to be there. After Grandpa Geromin died, grandma lived with her youngest daughter Aline until her death. Adela married a
musician, against her mother`s wishes. Grandma said no good would come of it. Adela and Walter stayed married until his death
